Ma. Cristina Falls: Now you see, now you don't

07.19.10

Right after our rafting activity, we had our lunch then headed to Iligan. It started to rain as we get near the city. We're supposed to visit Tinago Falls first but we fear that we might not reach Ma. Cristina Falls before 5pm so we decided to remove it from our itinerary.

On our way to Ma. Cristina, we stopped by Cheding's to buy pasalubongs. They're famous for their toasted peanuts. They also sell other products from nearby provinces.

Maria Cristina Falls

Just this month, Maria Cristina Falls has been opened again to the public and now has a nature park. We paid an entrance fee of Php30.

It was Monday when we visited the falls so we didn't get to see the other twin. Wanna know why? I-google ninyo na lang. Hehe.

Tip: According to some sources, you only get to witness the supposedly twin falls in full blast on weekends at 11am when the water is temporarily unblocked so better arrange your schedule when you plan to go to Iligan. (Still have to confirm this one)

After staying there for 30 minutes, we're back on the road again.

This was taken from one of the seaside carinderias in Iligan. We bought 2kgs of lechon and a bottle of sukang Pinakurat to go with it. I ordered an extra bottle to take home.

We were starving by the time we got back to CDO. The couple who joined us during our rafting activity suggested a good place to eat which is just a few meters away from our hotel.

As soon as we're back in our hotel, we packed our things in preparation for next day's trip to Camiguin island.
